According to The US Sun, in a legal case, Five Guys has agreed to settle a lawsuit linked to a data breach in 2022. They might pay up to $7,000 to people affected by it. The case says Five Guys didn’t protect worker info well during the breach. Nearly 38,000 workers’ details were affected. Though Five Guys says they didn’t do anything wrong, they’ve agreed to pay to solve the issue.

Five Guys Settlement Offers Compensation and Protection for Data Breach Victims
Under the terms of the settlement, individuals impacted by the breach may receive compensation of up to $400 for expenses resulting from the incident. Those who experienced identity theft or fraud as a result of the breach could qualify for restitution of up to $6,500. Additionally, residents of California may be entitled to an extra $100. All members of the affected group have the opportunity to register for two years of complimentary identity theft protection and credit monitoring services. However, if the number of claimants surpasses the available funds payments may be reduced. Eligible individuals must submit their claims by May 6 through FGDataSettlement.com.
