Police Work to Nab Thieves

According to News Channel 6 in Altus, Oklahoma, many burglaries have happened, making people worried about stolen items. The police led by Chief Tim Murph, are working hard to catch the thieves. They say lots of tools were stolen from different work trucks in the Southeast Altus industrial park costing about $50,000 worth stolen items. Other places like the Boll Weevil Eradication Agency and the Altus Water Treatment facility were also targeted losing valuable stuff.

Call for Community Cooperation looking for Stolen Items

The thieves took a 25-gallon chemical tank gas from a truck and a portable welder with the Lincoln brand. They even tried to steal a part from a vehicle at U Keep Key Storage causing damage. The police put out photos to help find the thieves and the stolen items. They want anyone with information to speak up about the stolen items. They’re especially looking for a white four-door Ford F150 pickup truck. Everyone in Altus should be careful and report anything strange to the police. Working together is important to catch these thieves and make the community safe again. The police and the Altus/Jackson County Crime Stoppers are ready to listen to any tips that could help solve these crimes and bring peace back to Altus.
