A 33-year-old mom named Jessica Woods was arrested for trying to sell her own 18-month-old daughter. The police found out that Woods was hanging around a store with her 18-month-old daughter for a few days. When someone offered to help her she asked if they wanted to buy her 18-month-old daughter for $500. When they said no she left her 18-month-old daughter outside the store and walked away.

Luckily someone saw the abandoned 18-month-old daughter of Woods and told the police. The police took care of the Wood’s 18-month-old daughter until the Department of Children and Families could find her a safe place to stay. The police didn’t waste any time and got a warrant to arrest Woods for hurting and leaving her 18-month-old daughter. They caught her on March 7 and put her in jail. This is a sad reminder that kids can be in danger sometimes and we need to watch out for them. The police acted quickly to keep the little girl safe. Palatka, Florida hopes for justice for the innocent child and is sad about what happened.
