According to The Mercury News, the police transparency law is about cops being honest was made by Senator Aisha Wahab from Fremont. The police transparency law was implemented because of a bad thing a San Jose cop did. His name is Matthew Dominguez and he got in trouble for doing bad stuff while on duty. The police transparency law says cops can now say when they fire someone without needing Americans to ask for the info. Senator Wahab says this makes cops more trustworthy.
