According to true crime daily, three men have been arrested this week in connection with a cold case that has puzzled investigators for 35 years. Douglas County Prosecuting Attorney Matthew Weatherman revealed that Bobby Banks Sr., his brother Leonard Banks and Wiley Belt have been indicted on charges including first degree murder, kidnapping and forcible rape in relation to the disappearance and death of 24 year old Kelle Workman. The suspects who have long been under suspicion are now in custody awaiting trial after someone recently provided crucial information that led to their arrest.
Kelle Workman vanished on June 30, 1989 while working in a cemetery, sparking a frantic search by her family and law enforcement. Sadly, her body was discovered eight days later in a national forest about 10 miles from where she was last seen. The discovery left her family devastated and for over three decades they have wished for justice.
