According to True Crime Daily, In Barnwell, a really sad thing happened. A 17-year-old girl named Maylashia Hogg, who was about to have a baby, was found dead in a ditch not far from her home. Just a week before her scheduled hospital visit to welcome her baby a tragic incident unfolded when Maylashia Hogg, affectionately known as Mayla to friends and family failed to show up. Concerns escalated within her family as they grew increasingly worried about her absence from the crucial appointment. Last seen on February 8, her family reported her missing to the police on the same day. Law enforcement promptly initiated a search disseminating information to the public. On February 18 the somber discovery of Mayla’s lifeless body was made. Despite no apparent signs of foul play the circumstances surrounding her demise remain a profound and perplexing mystery.

Although it remains uncertain whether Michael’s case is linked to Mayla’s, authorities are thoroughly examining all leads.
