According to WRWH, Brenda Dalin from Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. says they’re bringing back the home cooling aid program to help older folks and those who can’t leave home due to health reasons. Starting April 1 if everyone in your household is 65 or older or if someone is stuck at home because of health issues you can get help from home cooling aid program. They’ll give one-time payments straight to your energy company to make things easier during hot months.

To qualify for the home cooling aid applicants need to show their income and prove they’re either elderly or medically homebound. Eligible Americans can call 855-636-3108 or go online from 8:30 A.M. on April 1 to make appointments with only households meeting the criteria able to apply for the home cooling aid until funds run out and others allowed to apply from May 1.
