The whole scheme came to light when investigators found text messages between Green and Cutler discussing the murder plan. Green even sent $2,500 to Cutler and used the school’s address on the package. After Peters was killed Green pretended to be shocked called the police and acted like he had just found out about the tragedy. Now he has pleaded guilty and might avoid the death penalty but could face life in prison. Green’s sentencing will be on June 5, and Cutler’s trial begins on March 11 for the same charges.
