Widening Access to Financial Relief

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate program is specifically designed to alleviate the financial burden on eligible seniors and individuals with disabilities. By claiming these rebates eligible individuals can receive a significant reduction in their property tax or rent payments providing much-needed financial assistance and peace of mind. The Property Tax/Rent Rebate program provides financial assistance to seniors (65+), widows/widowers (50+), and disabled persons (18+). This year the income eligibility limit has increased to $45,000 for both homeowners and renters making the program accessible to more people. Importantly half of Social Security income is excluded when determining eligibility allowing a wider range of individuals to benefit from the program.

Well-organized vaccination clinics will take place from 10 am to 1 pm on specific dates to accommodate residents district-wide.
