The City of New Orleans Treasury Office says people can now pay their property taxes according to WDSU News. If you wait too long you might have to pay extra fees. You have until March 15 to pay without extra fees. There are different ways to pay property tax. You can mail a check or pay online. If you pay online with a checking account, there’s no extra fee. But if you use a credit or debit card, there’s a fee of 2.49%. You can also drop off your payment at City Hall or certain libraries on specific days.
