According to WICHITA, Kansas lawmakers are stuck because they can’t agree on how to change tax cut strategy . The Republicans wanted a flat tax where the Americans pay the same rate no matter how much they earn. But the Democratic Governor Laura Kelly said no because she thinks it would mostly help rich people and hurt the state’s money for services. Both parties like the idea of tax cutting they can’t agree on how to do it.

Governor Kelly says she might call the Americans back for more talks if they can’t figure it out but there’s no guarantee they’ll agree on anything.
