Public Perception Favors Biden Among GOP’s Impeachment Talk

Republican impeachment efforts against President Joe Biden faced a major setback when their key witness was accused of lying to the FBI as reported by Raw Story. Low public interest in the impeachment inquiry with only 16% closely following it; a lack of widespread belief in valid reasons for impeaching Biden, with only 28% supporting it and partisan differences in support, with Democrats more likely to back Trump’s impeachment than Republicans supporting Biden’s.

Limited Support for Biden’s Removal Highlights GOP Divisions

While Biden’s approval ratings weren’t great not many people wanted him removed from office. Only 21 percent of people said they wanted him out and even among Republicans only 43 percent strongly agreed with impeachment. We don’t know yet how the news about the lying witness will affect public opinion.
