How the American Opportunity Tax Credit Could Claim $1,000 Payment from the IRS
Some Americans might get $1,000 from the IRS through a special program called the American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC) according to The US Sun. It helps students with their education costs. If you’re eligible, and the tax you owe becomes zero you could still claim $1,000 payment refunded to you.

Are You Qualified?
If you don’t qualify for the AOTC there are other ways to get money. In California they’re giving $920 each month to some people. Expectant mothers in Humboldt County can also get cash for 18 months with no strings attached. But you need to apply before May 30 and meet certain requirements. Many places in the US are starting to give money directly to people. In Houston, Texas, some folks are getting $500 every month for 18 months. And in Maryland, they’re sending $800 a month for two years without asking for anything in return. These programs are meant to help out during tough times.
