Governor Forms Team to Tackle Montana Property Tax
Task Force Aims to Make Montana Property Taxes Fairer
According to KBZK News, Montana’s Governor Greg Gianforte is doing something about the worry over Montana property tax going up. He made a team to think about how to change property taxes for the better. This team includes important people from the government and others who care about this issue. They met up for the first time at the State Capitol. Ryan Osmundson, who helps with the state’s money is leading the team. They talked about how taxes are changing and how people need to understand them better. Gianforte wants ideas from the team that can make taxes grow slower and be fairer for everyone. He also wants to make sure americans don’t lose their homes because of taxes. Even though they don’t want to add a statewide sales tax, they’ll look at different ways to fix the problems with taxes especially for schools and local governments. They hope to have a plan ready by August.
