In a bold move on February 9, law enforcement authorities in New Castle, Delaware, conducted a major operation targeting drug distribution and illegal firearm possession. The operation, led by the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force and the Special Operations Response Team, focused on two residences on New Castle Avenue, where 36-year-old Brandon Tann of Wilmington was suspected to be involved in drug-related activities. This action followed an extensive investigation spanning several months, which pointed to Tann as a significant figure in the local drug trade.

Wilmington Man Arrested: Drugs, Guns, and Cash Seized in Early Morning Raid

During the early morning raid, authorities apprehended Tann without any resistance. Upon searching the premises, they uncovered compelling evidence implicating him in illegal activities. Among the items seized were over $1000 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales, along with a loaded .25 caliber handgun, a 12-gauge shotgun equipped with a scope, ammunition, approximately 11.6 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. A subsequent background check revealed that Tann was prohibited from possessing any firearms under the law.

Following his arrest, Tann was taken to Troop 2 for processing. He now faces multiple charges related to drug distribution and illegal firearm possession. After appearing before Justice of the Peace Court 2 for arraignment, he was remanded to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. Bail was set at $82,010 cash, reflecting the severity of the charges against him.
