Representative Paul Takac (D-Centre) is spearheading a series of seminars across Centre County to spread awareness about Pennsylvania’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program. This initiative aims to assist older adults and individuals with disabilities by offering rebates ranging from $380 to $1,000 to eligible homeowners and renters. Recently expanded, the program now accommodates an additional 175,000 Pennsylvanians, raising the income-eligibility limit to $45,000 for both homeowners and renters.

Property Tax/Rent Clinics Coming to Centre County – Don’t Miss Out!
Takac expresses pride in championing this expansion, deeming it a significant legislative victory from the previous year. He emphasizes the importance of reaching out to as many eligible individuals in the community as possible. The clinics are designed to facilitate sign-ups and educate attendees about the program’s benefits.
The schedule for these Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program clinics is as follows:
- Tuesday, Feb. 13, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Snow Shoe Township Building in Clarence.
- Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Takac’s District Office in State College.
- Thursday, Feb. 22, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Howard United Methodist Church in Howard.
- Friday, March 1, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Boggs Township Building in Bellefonte.

Property Tax/Rent Rebate Clinics Simplify Application Process for Centre County Residents!
Attendees are advised to bring proof of all income from 2023, including Social Security Income, pension and annuity benefits, and other sources of income. Homeowners must also provide documentation of 2023 tax bills, while renters need to submit the PA Rent Certificate along with their total rent paid in 2023.
These clinics aim to simplify and make the application procedure easily accessible. Takac and the rest of his team want to make sure that those who qualify may take advantage of this program by going straight to the community and offering support and information. These seminars are intended to lessen the financial pressures on seniors and those with disabilities in Centre County, whether through information or refunds.
