Residents of California who are seeking public assistance through CalWORKs should visit the county social services/human services agency that initiated the program. The application for CalWORKS can be done by contacting your local agency by phone, in person, by fax, or by mail.

As the number of people in the household increases, so does the maximum aid. A household with 10 or more people can receive up to $2,723 in non-exempt MAP or $3,045 in exempt MAP.
