Some states make it hard for rape survivors to get an abortion.

According to PBS, rape survivors in areas that don’t allow abortions may have trouble getting aid. About 65,000 rape survivors were raped in 14 states from July 2022 to January 2024. The survey shows that many women struggle despite abortion being legal. Abortion restrictions make it hard for women who have had abortions to obtain treatment, which is dreadful.

Problems with keeping track of the babies of rape survivors

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the CDC sought to determine how many infants were raped. Many rapes occur in multiple locales, making it difficult to gather accurate information. The research found that rape survivors have trouble getting medical care in regions where abortion is outlawed.
