Economic Support for New Mothers

The Healthy Beginnings Project, spearheaded by Goldbug and national nonprofits, is set to benefit at least 20 new mothers over 18 in Colorado. Facing economic challenges while caring for a newborn, these mothers will receive $750 bi-weekly for a 15-month, providing crucial financial support during a vulnerable period.

Beyond the monthly payments, participants can receive a bonus of $600 by attending regularly scheduled medical appointments with their newborns. The initiative reflects a comprehensive maternal and infant health approach, addressing financial and healthcare needs.

Launched in November 2023, the Healthy Beginnings Project aims to enhance the well-being of mothers and infants by leveraging direct payments. With the program expected to conclude by February 2025, it represents a targeted effort to address economic disparities and contribute to the overall health of families.
