K9 Astrid of the Ada County Sheriff’s Office and K9 Meko of the Boise Police Department, who were seriously injured while subduing a suspect in Boise on Wednesday morning, were released from the vet hospital on Thursday.
K9 Heroes Honored After Brave Confrontation
The brave K9s were stabbed many times while apprehending the perpetrator. The police honored them with two processions for their bravery.
After receiving intensive medical treatment, both K9s have recovered enough to leave the vet facility.
According to the Idaho Police Canine Association, the community has collected over $3,400 for their medical fees. This wonderful donation shows the community’s gratitude for these K9 officers’ bravery and devotion.

Donations to Aid K9 Recovery
For individuals who choose to donate, the IPCA will evenly split PayPal payments between the Ada County Sheriff’s Office and the Boise Police Department.
