Each neighborhood got a score to help us understand. Sadly, thefts and carjackings are on the rise in some Houston areas. In contrast to other big cities, Houston’s crime rate is going up, even though a lot of police officers are working hard. The good news is that this isn’t true for all of Houston. In good places, you can also find Sunday markets and events. We’re going to talk about places to avoid today. Let’s find out which parts of Houston are dangerous. Get ready to go on a ride.

10 Houston’s Neighborhoods
- Driving on I-45 in far north Houston and seeing the city disappear behind you is surreal. There are a few $30,316-a-year jobs here. Fortunately, it’s a terrific shopping destination with $52,586 housing prices.
- To simplify, Northeast Houston calls it “Northeast.” Golfers will adore Brock Park Golf Course and Lake Houston nearby. You may not be able to golf or enjoy lunch by the lake with an average salary of $32,777.
- Southeast Houston, home to the Houston Zoo, has less employment. The average income is $41,297, and 6.1% are jobless. Luckily, most homes cost around $100,000.
- Houston’s former East End lacks excellent employment. Despite attractions like the Gus Wortham Golf Course, the average income is $37,480, and residences are valued at $102,414.
- North Houston, the sixth-least attractive, has issues like Far North. Many low-paying jobs. The average property price is $88,419, and income is $34,255.
- The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at NRG Stadium takes place in southwest Houston, where the economy is shaky. The average salary is $48,850, but 7.2% unemployment makes it challenging to obtain a job.
- Sugarland is appealing but not a wise investment. The average salary is $42,634, and 6.7% are unemployed. Cool locations to visit include the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
- This northwest Houston park is near I-10, Highway 290, and the Sam Houston Tollway. The economy gives people optimism, but not happiness. The average salary is $48,919, and 5.2% are unemployed.
- Pasadina is not Pasadena, California. Charming, with the Bay Area Museum and bay access. There are lots of jobs since the unemployment rate is 5.0% and the average income is $64,381.
- Spring Branch, between Bear Creek Pioneers Park and the city’s far northwest boundary, is doing well financially. The unemployment rate is 4.6%, and the average income is $59,660. Most residences cost $215,498, which is expensive.
