For assaulting his girlfriend’s little daughter in January 2019 and August 2023, Bemidji, Minnesota’s Jeffrey Booge, 45, pleaded guilty to two second-degree criminal sexual conduct offenses.
Bemidji Sexual Assault Charges Revised with Breathtaking Details
Multiple first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges were reduced to two second-degree counts against Booge.
Trials showed multi-year abuse. September 5, 2023, saw Booge arrested in Bemidji. At the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, a 9-year-old girl’s mother said Booge sexually molested her, according to the criminal complaint.
She stated Booge grabbed her legs, flung them on him, and assaulted her on August 30, 2023, according to a forensic test. The bold girl attempted to resist, but Booge traumatized her. A second attempted attack was discovered two days later during forensic interrogation.
The victim’s grandmother confronted Booge, who confessed, stating he thought the youngster was her mother. After Booge’s claim, the victim said their physical differences made it implausible in an interview.

Coach Resignation and Previous Incidents
After the investigation, a troubled background emerged. She told her father in January 2019 that Booge had been washing and touching her improperly. In addition, she was assaulted, punched, and knifed in the neck.
In response to the probe, Bemidji Middle School girls’ volleyball coach Booge resigned on September 3, 2023. Even though the accused had no criminal history in Minnesota, the inquiry uncovered a long history of abuse.
The mother stated Booge was “remodeling” her bedroom, so the child slept in bed with them. The mother hypothesized about Booge’s sexual attempt with the child.
The Booge sentencing date is April 2, 2024. The sad episode of child abuse underscored the need to be proactive in detecting and addressing abuse to protect vulnerable community members.
