The ”Access Hollywood” tape and two other women who accused Trump of sexual abuse will not be brought to the New York jury in the defamation trial, according to E. Jean Carroll’s attorney, Roberta Kaplan.

This suggests Trump may testify in Manhattan federal court shortly. The jury is considering whether Trump owes Carroll more than the $5 million given last spring by another jury, which found that Trump sexually abused Carroll in the 1990s but did not rape her and defamed her in 2019.
In a letter to the judge, Kaplan said she wouldn’t play the 2005 ”Access Hollywood” audio of Trump insulting women to keep the trial focused. Natasha Stoynoff and Jessica Leeds, two more Trump accusers, will not be witnesses. These women testified in the previous trial. The judge told the jury to accept the earlier trial’s findings and focus on Trump’s denial of the claims of harm to Carroll.
Trump, 77, has said Carroll concocted her claims for fame and politics. The court confined Trump’s testimony to his repeated denials of the charges. Kaplan will highlight Trump’s words after Carroll testifies, emphasizing his defamation campaign against her.
