Man Guilty of Manslaughter in Mistaken Identity Shooting

According to a News 4 crime report, in a recent courtroom development, a jury in the Dothan case convicted Kadarrius Salter on charges of manslaughter. The incident occurred in 2021, initially involving murder allegations against Salter. Police investigations revealed a tragic case of mistaken identity where Salter and accomplice Christian D. McCallister intended to target someone else, but 20-year-old Willis Rambo became the unintended victim.

Bond Revoked as Salter Awaits Sentencing

Post-verdict Judge Christopher K. Richardson took a consequential step by revoking Salter’s bond. Salter awaits further legal proceedings behind bars until sentencing. The manslaughter conviction carries a potential maximum sentence of 20 years with the chance of probation. Nevertheless, Salter’s codefendant (Christian D. McCallister) had already admitted guilt in the mistaken identity shooting pleading to manslaughter in October 2022. McCallister is presently serving a 15-year prison sentence for his role in the tragic incident.
