Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon announced recently that he sent a letter requesting from the State Legislature’s Joint Appropriations Committee an amount of $20 million to expand Property Tax Refund.
Gov. Gordon Requests $20 Million to Expand Property Tax Refund
The increasing inflation rate and rising costs of properties have affected millions of Americans across the country. To address this problem, Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon sent a letter from the State Legislature’s Joint Appropriations Committee an amount of $20 million to expand Property Tax Refund.
In a published article in Ground News, Governor Gordon highlighted that 20 counties out of 23 were affected by the rising inflation rate, and the expansion of the property tax program will assist low-income taxpayers living in the state.

Gov. Gordon Released Official Statement
According to an article published in OIL CITY NEWS, Gov. Gordon wrote in his letter, “Wyoming’s homeowners continue to experience significant increases in property tax assessments, even as they wrestle with prices at the grocery store, in their utility bills, and in the many other necessary expenses of living.”
Furthermore, this program has helped more than 9,000 Wyoming families, with more than $8 million in refunds distributed and the average refund being approximately $938.
