2. Navarre Beach Campground 

I heard moderate waves from the private beach at the end of the campground every morning. The wide, full hookup sites and level concrete pads made RV setup easy. My pet liked the grassy areas, and the campground was serene and welcoming.

An abundance of amenities enhanced my stay. I enjoyed days by the pool and evenings at the beach tiki bar watching the sunset. Showers, laundry, and a playground made my family’s stay comfortable. The kids loved the Turtle Conservation Center, and local seafood shops let us eat fresh fish. Reliable WiFi kept me connected when needed, achieving the right balance of calm and modern comfort.

3. Destin West RV Resort

Nearby attractions included the Gulfarium, Boardwalk Recreation Center, and Ramada Plaza Beach Resort. It was expensive per night, but the location and beauty made it worth it. He saw certain issues with worker interactions and housekeeping. His stay at the resort was nice despite these minor complaints due to its gorgeous setting and great amenities.

  • Scenic Location:  Between Destin and Fort Walton Beach, this Gulf of Mexico beach overlooks Choctawhatchee Bay.
  • Full Hookups: Each site includes full hookups, along with picnic tables.

4. Henderson Beach State Park

The park’s proximity to Destin and easy access to the lovely beach impressed friends who visited it. They liked the campground’s privacy. They also liked that most campsites included electric-water hookups, picnic tables, grills, and clean facilities. The park’s $30 nightly rent plus entry fee was fair considering its worth. A playground that kids loved made the park family-friendly, according to my buddy. They had a good time, making it a good camping spot.

  • Rates: $30 per night, plus a $6 park entry fee.
  • Location: Near Destin, FL, in the serene area of Henderson Beach.
  • Beach Access: A short walk to a stunning beach.
  • Privacy: good separation between campsites.

5. Turtle Beach Campground

Demand for campsites shows its popularity, and $42 to $60 felt like a terrific deal. Although some trees fell, the campground remained a shady paradise, feet from the Gulf of Mexico. Modern amenities like restrooms, showers, and a laundry facility made the stay comfortable and convenient after the 2017 makeover. I recommend it for beach vacations.

  • Rates/Demand: Campsites sell out quickly, with prices ranging from $42 to $60, with surcharges for weekends and holidays.
  • Location: On Siesta Key, a great staycation spot for Sarasota residents.
  • Convenience: Avoid mainland traffic with a free island trolley stopping at the campground.
  • Natural Beauty: Despite some tree loss, it offers a shady haven just steps from the Gulf of Mexico.
  • Renovation: Completely renovated in 2017 with paved drives, fresh landscaping, and modern hook-ups.

6. Camp Gulf

My coworker raved about Camp Gulf in Miramar after visiting. As the ultimate indulgence, front-row locations offer an unmatched beach experience. The coastal vistas and pristine sandy beaches make up for the pet ban on these luxury accommodations. The $200 per night for these sites looked pricey, but they said the experience was worth it. Personal facilities, community spaces, two swimming pools, and a well-stocked camp store were also appreciated. Camp Gulf provided a spectacular beach camping experience.

  • Location: Miramar, a popular private campground.

7. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

I enjoyed camping at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park’s solitude and well-kept grounds. I liked the hiking and bike routes and mature trees around each site, which made it feel private. Wi-Fi and cable TV made her stay comfortable. It was a wonderful deal considering the experience and facilities at $42 per night plus park access. My reviews were overwhelmingly positive, so I’d return.

  • Location: Near Santa Rosa Beach.
  • Landscaping: well-maintained with mature trees offering privacy.

Our family friends loved camping at Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park. They highlighted the beautiful sea views and well-maintained pathways. They liked the natural site divide for seclusion. They also liked the amenities, which included everything they needed for camping. The park’s $16–20 nightly rates were a welcome surprise. They’re planning a return because of their great encounter.

  • Rates: Very affordable at $16–20 per night, plus a $6 park entrance fee.
  • Location: Off Choctawhatchee Bay, near Niceville.
  • Scenery: Offers beautiful water views and nice trails.
  • Privacy: sites separated by trees and/or shrubs.
  • Amenities: Include electrical and water connections, playground equipment, picnic tables, barbecues, restrooms with flush toilets, showers, and loads of laundry machines.

9. St. George Island State Park

I loved St. George Island State Park’s white-sand beaches, a quarter-mile from the campsite. The bay kayaking was amazing, and the state park’s trails were a great opportunity to see the scenery. The campsite was well-equipped with 50-amp electric water hookups at most sites. Picnic tables, flush toilets, showers, and a dump station made my stay comfortable. For such a beautiful location, $24 each night plus the park admission charge was a terrific value.

  • Location: Close to the beach, only ¼ mile from the campsite.
  • Activities: It offers kayaking in the bay and a great trail system in the surrounding state park.
  • Beach Access: Known for its beautiful white sand beaches.

10. Sunset Isle RV & Yacht Club

I enjoyed staying at Sunset Isle RV & Yacht Club near Carrabelle two years ago. Everything was so pristine and peaceful, which immediately struck me. Each site has full hookups and a cozy, intimate ambiance. There are 27 sites. Picnic tables, grills, and a sparkling pool added appeal. The peacefulness, stargazing, on-site Wi-Fi, and cable TV made my stay memorable. The $50–$60 nightly fees were affordable for the quality of the experience. This hidden gem was great for a peaceful break.
