Nathan’s family is devastated and has many doubts regarding the crime’s reason. Losing Nathan was terrible, according to his sister Mallory McDade: “It was awful in a billion ways. Losing him and not knowing why.”
Nathan’s images of whitewater rafting and climbing mountains show his adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors. Besides his daring, he was a loving father, uncle, and son.
Mallory remembers him warmly, “He was always huge. I always admired his accomplishments and life outlook. He was a great uncle to my two kids and loved life.”
