Nashville’s Nathan McDade family awaits justice six years after his death. Nathan was killed by three masked intruders at a Briarwood Drive residence on January 6, 2018, while visiting friends. The Metro Nashville Police Department reported that 36-year-old outdoorsman Nathan was shot.

Nathan’s family is devastated and has many doubts regarding the crime’s reason. Losing Nathan was terrible, according to his sister Mallory McDade: “It was awful in a billion ways. Losing him and not knowing why.”
Nathan’s images of whitewater rafting and climbing mountains show his adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors. Besides his daring, he was a loving father, uncle, and son.
Mallory remembers him warmly, “He was always huge. I always admired his accomplishments and life outlook. He was a great uncle to my two kids and loved life.”

Mallory believes closure is necessary, “To offer us closure and relief, and I feel like someone who had as huge an impact as he did ought to be held accountable for what they took from everyone who loved him. I think it would help my parents sleep at night and allow me and my kids to feel the world is fair.”
