Accidents of B-2 Spirit Stealth Bombers Due to Routine Flight
According to National Interest, B-2 Spirit stealth bombers had a series of accidents since its introduction to service more than three decades ago.
Moreover, one of the B-2 Spirit stealth bombers that had been lost in an accident was due to a routine flight instead of fighting with a formidable foe. It was also noted that only 20 of B-2 Spirit stealth bombers remain in service to play a role in America’s long-range strike arsenal.
Misfortunes of Two Pilots of B-2 Spirit Stealth Bombers in Guam, Data System was to Blame
According to National Intrest, two pilots from Whiteman Air Force Base which was also based in Guam were forced to eject and had accident. The billion-dollar airframe was carrying off with three others on their conclusive flight out of Guam following a four-month-long deployment when the happening transpired.
The Air Combat Command stated that the accident was caused by the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber’s air data system.
