Pike County Man Pleaded Guilty of Killing the Mother of His Children
According to WSFA, the Pike County man namely Micheal Deramus Walker, 40, pleaded guilty to capital murder on Thursday. The Pike County man was sentenced to life without parole.
The investigators claimed that the Pike County man killed his girlfriend identified as Melissa Lanny Pelton at Popular Hills Mobile Home Park in Troy in October 2019. The Court records stated that the Pike County man shot Pelton multiple times.
It was also noted in the records that the incident was witnessed by at least one out of six kids of the Pike County man.

Pike County Man Enters Guilty Plea, Will Serve Sentence in State Prison
According to WAKA, the Pike County Man entered a guilty plea for the murder of Melissa Lanny Pelton in the presence of their six minor children at their home on U.S. 231 South in Troy.
Moreover, though he pleaded guilty, the 12th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office agreed not to seek the death penalty in the Pike County man’s case. Instead, the Pike County man was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of Parole.
