Houthi Militia Group Launch Sea Drone Couple of Miles Away from US Navy
According to Yahoo News, an armed unmanned surface vessel was launched by a Houthi militia group and hot within a couple of miles of the US Navy and commercial vessels in the Red Sea on Thursday, just hours after the White House and allied nations issued a final warning to the Iran-backed militia groups to cease attacks or face military actions.
Head of the US Navy operations Vice Admiral Brad Cooper stated that it was the first time the Houthi militia group had used a sea drone or USV, since the start of their harassment of commercial ships in the Red Sea after the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas Conflict.

Houthi Militia Group’s USV a Suicide Drones in Yemen’s War
According to AP News, Fabian Hinz, an expert in missiles and a researcher at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, stated that the sea drones that were launched by the Houthi militia group are a key part of their maritime arsenal and were used during previous battle against the Saudi coalition forces in Yemen’s war.
Houthi’s USVs have regularly been used as suicide drone boats that explode upon impact.
