Harris County received a $20,500,000 grant to ensure that it will continue to receive funding.
Residents of Harris County, Texas, are eligible to apply for the Uplift Harris guaranteed income scheme. This is especially true for those who reside in the 10 most impoverished zip areas.
The American Rescue Plan Act has allocated $20.5 million for the program’s assistance to those in need.
The week after next is when eligible individuals may begin applying to the program. Approximately 1,900 households are to be helped by the initiative. Those selected will get $500 each month for eighteen months. Your initial payment may be sent to you as early as March.

Requirements for enrollment in the Uplift Harris Initiative
To be eligible for the program, a person has to fulfill two requirements. Originally, they had to reside in one of 10 zip codes that were identified as having a high rate of poverty. 77547, 77091, 77050, 77093, 77051, 77060, 77028, 77033, 77026, 77081, and 77547 are the numbers. Additionally, the household’s income must be below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or $60,000 for a family of four.
The project’s objective is to provide much-needed financial assistance to families in areas with struggling economies. This will assist them in resolving their problems and improve their general health.
