Sanders Calls for Congressional Rejection of $10.1 Billion Aid to Israel, Denouncing ‘Brutal War’ on Palestinians
Senator Bernie Sanders has urged Congress to reject the proposed $10.1 billion in unconditional military aid for Israel, arguing that it would support the continuation of what he calls a “brutal war” against the Palestinian people. Sanders explicitly stated, “NO MORE U.S. funding for Netanyahu’s illegal, immoral, brutal, and grossly disproportionate war against the Palestinian people.”
Sanders emphasized that the U.S. has played a significant role in Israel’s military actions against Palestinians, providing bombs, artillery shells, and other weaponry. He asserted that the outcomes of these actions have been catastrophic and called for an end to U.S. complicity in what he deems the destruction of innocent lives in Gaza.
Expressing a clear stance, Sanders urged Congress to reject the proposed funding, declaring, “Enough is enough.” He emphasized that American taxpayers should not be contributors to what he perceives as the devastation of innocent men, women, and children in Gaza.
