Online iPad Sale Turns Violent
Eduardo Reyes and his wife were robbed violently during a Pomona meeting to sell their iPad via an online ad.
Reyes’ Tesla camera filmed the entire encounter, showing two individuals, one with a revolver in a black hoodie. Reyes received an OfferUp message regarding the iPad, and the encounter quickly turned into a struggle, as the car’s camera recorded.
Reyes held the iPad to draw the suspects’ attention, worried about his wife’s safety. Before believing the guns, he comprehended their gravity when one suspect shot into the sky. Reyes was pistol-whipped during the battle despite redirecting the gun. After attacking his wife, the suspects fled with her iPad and phone.

Victim Seeks Medical Aid, Pomona Police Issue Warning to Online App Users
After the terrifying episode, Reyes sought medical assistance for head wounds from the assault. Pomona police are investigating the situation and warning online app users. Ally Mejia of the Pomona Police Department recommended users check profiles, and phone numbers, and meet in well-lit public places.
After the ordeal, Reyes said he would prefer to transact in front of a police station. Police want anyone with information about the incident to call Pomona police as they search for the culprits.
