Payette: Picture Payette, a cozy southern town with just 7,500 residents. Unfortunately, it’s not known for safety. Crime is higher, especially when it comes to violent acts like robbery.

Nampa: Nampa, a larger city with 100,000 friendly faces, may seem inviting, but it hides a concern—crime rates are 82% higher than the national average. Break-ins and thefts are a common worry.

Caldwell: Consider Caldwell, near Boise, with its 50,000-strong community. It’s a place of contrasts: beautiful, yet with one of the highest crime rates in Idaho. Violent incidents are nine times more frequent, and burglaries and thefts are a constant issue.

Blackfoot: Envision Blackfoot, a moderate-sized city with 11,900 residents in Bingham County. It surpasses state and national crime averages, mainly due to drug-related issues leading to more property crimes and violent incidents.

Twin Falls: Picture Twin Falls, a town with a mixed safety record. It experiences a higher crime rate than many U.S. cities, especially downtown. Safety challenges are evident, with minor issues escalating into major fights.

Pocatello: Imagine Pocatello, a southeast city with around 56,637 inhabitants. It faces a higher crime rate due to issues like drug use and homelessness. Despite problems, the city is working to improve safety with an increased police presence.

Garden City: In Garden City, a small community of 12,316 residents in Ada County, recent times have seen an uptick in crime, especially violent incidents. Issues like drug trafficking and gang activity, coupled with a high poverty rate, contribute to safety concerns. Visitors should exercise caution, especially after dark.
