A courageous woman in Long Beach resisted a violent assault and thwarted a robbery attempt, demonstrating resilience and defiance against criminal activity.
According to CBS News, In Long Beach on Saturday, a brave 44-year-old single mom fought off a scary attack. It happened around 4:30 a.m. near Cedar and 25th Street, very close to her home. The person attacking her had a knife and kept hitting her for about 10 minutes. Beth Quintana, the woman, got hurt with a broken nose, a hurt eye, and almost lost a finger. She said it was punch after punch. Luckily, some neighbors came to help, and the attacker ran away with $200 from her purse. Even though it was tough for her, Beth doesn’t regret fighting back.

The police in Long Beach are now asking for help from the public. They want anyone who knows something about the attack or anyone who sees someone with unexplained injuries to tell them.
