The US Central Command has confirmed conducting airstrikes against Kataib Hezbollah and affiliated groups’ facilities in Iraq, responding directly to recent attacks on coalition forces in Iraq and Syria. Airstrikes’ Impact and Strategic Goal

Preliminary assessments suggest that the airstrikes resulted in the destruction of targeted facilities and potentially affected Kataib Hezbollah militants, with no reported civilian casualties. General Michael Erik Kurilla, Commander of the US Central Command, clarified that the intent behind the strikes was to hold accountable those responsible for attacking coalition forces and diminish their capacity for further assaults.

The US military has highlighted these strikes as a preventive measure to deter future attacks and ensure the safety of its personnel. Ongoing assessments aim to evaluate the effectiveness of the airstrikes in achieving their objectives.
