Dodgers Secure Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Landmark 12-Year, $325 Million Deal, Boosting Pitching Rotation
The Los Angeles Dodgers have pulled off a major event by signing Japanese pitcher prodigy Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Dodgers and Yamamoto have agreed in principle to a historic 12-year, $325 million deal. Coming on the heels of big signings for superstar Shohei Ohtani and pitcher Tyler Glasnow, this signing is yet another example of a remarkable stretch in reinforcements by our Boys-in Blue.
Yamamoto’s arrival in Los Angeles is thus the entry of an outstanding talent with a particularly illustrious resume, including numerous prestigious awards (including winning two Eiji Sawamura Awards) and recognition as three times winner of the Pacific League baseball MVP award).
Yamamoto’s performances for Samurai Japan in the 2020 Summer Olympics and this year’s World Baseball Classic have attracted international attention, adding another powerful weapon to an already formidable Dodgers lineup.
