Millions of Workers in 25 US States are Set to Receive an Increase in Minimum Wage 2024
According to Entrepreneur, million of workers across 25 US states will be lining up for their increase in their pay next week, as half of US States are planning to boost their minimum wage 2024.
The increase will boost the minimum wage to at least $16 an hour in Three States: California, New York, and Washington. Meanwhile, the minimum wage 2024 will take effect on January 1. However, in some states, such as Nevada and Oregon, the pay increase will take effect on July 1, while Florida will rise on September 30.

Minimum Wage 2024 Boost Helps Low-Wage Workers
As per the report by CBS, the boost in the minimum wage in 2024 would prove to be advantageous for several low-wage earners who are finding it hard to make ends meet amidst the rising inflation. Even before the pandemic, the prices of basic necessities such as groceries, rent, and other goods and services kept increasing, causing financial difficulties for many.
Starting in January 2024, the minimum wage will increase in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, and Washington.
