LA Average Gas Price Drops Since July
The West Side Current has reported that the average gas price has dropped by $1.397 over the past 65 days, including a decrease of 1.9 cents this past Sunday. This information was released by the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. They also mentioned that the gas price dropped by 8.8 cents one week ago and is now 36.6 cents lower than it was a month ago.
Moreover, the average gas price drops by $1.576 since rising to a record of $6.494 on October 2022.
Average Gas Price Drops in Orange County
As per the report by My News LA, the average gas price in Orange County has decreased by 1.5 cents to $4.57, marking its lowest since February 2023. Additionally, the average gas price has gone down by $1.889 since reaching a record high of $6.459 in October 2022, which includes Friday’s drop of 1.6 cents.
According to Doug Shupe, the corporate communications manager of the Automobile Club of Southern California, although pump prices have been going down, they are still higher than last year due to the wholesale gas prices. Consequently, the decrease in pump prices is slower than last year.
