Americans in Rhode Island will receive an amount of up to $2,500 from the unclaimed property beginning this week and onwards.
$2,500 Free Money
Americans will have extra sources of money this holiday season as Rhode Island officials announced that an amount of $2,500 will be given to residents who are eligible to claim their unclaimed property. This will be sent this week and in the upcoming weeks.
In a published article in The U.S. Sun, there will be around 9,000 residents who are eligible to claim the unclaimed property tax. Rhode Island General Treasurer James A. Diossa said that around $2.4 million in unclaimed property funds will be sent to the residents.

Rhode Island General Treasurer Released a Statement
Rhode Island General Treasurer James A. Diossa said, “The holiday season is all about giving back, and my team has worked day and night to make sure unclaimed property is wrapped and delivered to thousands of households across the Ocean State.”
Furthermore, he also added, “Putting money back in the pockets of Rhode Islanders means more money to support our state’s economy, especially during this time of year. I am excited for folks to receive the gift of unclaimed property this December!”
Diossa explained also that his office will recover cash and assets from banks, landlords, businesses, safe despot boxes, and utility companies as unclaimed property.
