The incident in Las Vegas happened at around 5:35 p.m. During a press conference on Friday night, Las Vegas police Lieutenant Jason Johansson stated that the incident occurred close to the intersection of Honolulu Street and Charleston Boulevard on the east side of the city.

A guy in his 50s was the deceased victim, according to Johansson.

Three males in their 30s are among the four further injured victims; two of them are in stable condition, and one is in serious condition. He remarked that the condition of a mature male teen is likewise steady. The victims’ identities are unknown.

A black male wearing a hoodie is identified as the culprit, who raced away from the scene in a black vehicle.

It’s unknown why the incident occurred.

In addition, police are trying to ascertain whether this was a singular instance.

The shooting in Vegas occurred only hours after Los Angeles officials declared that they thought a serial murderer was at large, targeting solitary outdoor sleepers.

Authorities said the three gunshot homicides occurred in the wee hours of Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday.

On a couch in an alley, someone was slain. One person was shot and killed while dozing on a pavement. The third victim was shot and murdered while she was pulling a shopping cart and stopped close to an outdoor electrical outlet.

According to him, in each of the three incidents, a lone suspect approached, fired, and then left. On the other hand, authorities also made public a surveillance photo of a possible suspect car.

The sole description provided by the city’s police head, Michel Moore, of the culprit was that he was a lone man dressed simply in a hoodie. No eyewitnesses are known to exist. Although the investigation is still in its early stages, he stated that police think the same individual was responsible for all three deaths.

The victims were living on the streets by themselves; they were not in or close to homeless camps.

Homeless people should not sleep alone, according to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.

At a news conference on Friday, Bass added, “Please let the many Angelenos who have friends or family who are unhoused know the danger that exists.”

“We have to remain secure.” We’ll put in a lot of effort to hold those accountable.”
