Early in November, Sen. Marsha Blackburn made the initial request to subpoena the Epstein flight records.

Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., came under fire from Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., for reportedly obstructing her attempt to submit a subpoena for the travel records of Jeffrey Epstein.

“@SenatorDurbin blocked my request to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs. What are Democrats trying to hide?” Blackburn said on Twitter.

Durbin’s actions were referred to by Blackburn as a “sad day in the history of the prestigious Judiciary Committee.”

“Senate Democrats have long been trying to undermine the Supreme Court and Justice Clarence Thomas, but they want to ignore Justice Sotomayor allegedly using her taxpayer-funded staff to coordinate speaking engagements in exchange for selling and promoting thousands of her books. They also don’t want to have a conversation about the estate of Jeffrey Epstein to find out the names of every person who participated in Jeffrey Epstein’s human trafficking ring,” Blackburn stated in a statement.

A Democratic Senate Judiciary Committee aide told Fox News Digital in a statement that Durbin had made it clear he was prepared to remain all day so Republicans could present and discuss the 177 amendments they had filed prior to the markup, with the understanding that the committee would vote on the subpoena authorization after.

But according to the Democratic committee staffer, a few Republicans on the committee started to filibuster and prevented Blackburn from presenting the first amendment to the authorization.

Early in November, she made the initial request to subpoena the flight records.

In early November, Blackburn addressed the committee on potential subpoenas pertaining to a Supreme Court ethics investigation. “Since we’re in the business of issuing subpoenas now, here are a few more that I’ve filed,” Blackburn stated.

“A subpoena to Jeffrey Epstein’s estate to provide the flight logs for his private plane. Given the numerous allegations of human trafficking and abuse surrounding Mr. Epstein, we’ve got to identify everyone who could have participated in his horrific conduct,” said Blackburn.

The media branded Epstein’s aircraft “The Lolita Express,” claiming it was used to transport minors to his exclusive Caribbean Island and other destinations worldwide.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn, a Republican from Tennessee, is putting pressure on the Senate Judiciary Committee to subpoena the travel logs of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in an effort to track down any accomplices in his “horrific conduct.”

Blackburn told the committee, “Since we’re in the business of issuing subpoenas now, here are a few more that I’ve filed,” on Thursday during a hearing investigating potential subpoenas being pushed by Democrats over an ethics investigation on the Supreme Court.

“A subpoena to Jeffrey Epstein’s estate to provide the flight logs for his private plane. Given the numerous allegations of human trafficking and abuse surrounding Mr. Epstein, we’ve got to identify everyone who could have participated in his horrific conduct,” she continued.

Blackburn continued her criticism of Democrats on the committee’s attempts to single out Supreme Court justices, saying that they need to be concentrating on “real issues.”

“If you want to take up our time and go there, Mr. Chairman, we can go there. This is a sad day in the history of this prestigious committee, but I’m confident that the American people see this sham for what it really is,” she continued.

As a result of Blackburn’s and her Republican committee colleagues’ opposition, Chairman Dick Durbin, D-Ill., suspended the Supreme Court subpoena authorization process.

Blackburn’s representative informed Fox News Digital that the senator will pursue the Epstein subpoena once more during a committee meeting next week that will include cover subpoenas related to the Supreme Court investigation.

Known by some in the media as “The Lolita Express,” Epstein’s aircraft is said to have been used to transport minors to his houses around the United States and abroad, as well as his own island in the Caribbean.

According to reports, the aircraft has carried a number of well-known actors, politicians, and other public figures, including Prince Andrew, billionaire Bill Gates, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., former presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, and actors Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker.

As of right now, there is no proof that any of the people who traveled aboard Epstein’s aircraft committed any crimes.

In July 2019, Epstein entered a not guilty plea in a New York court to charges of sex trafficking and sex trafficking conspiracy. Epstein was accused of preying on several victims, some of them were as young as 14.

The next month, his body was discovered dead in his Manhattan prison cell. One theory for his death was suicide.

In Florida, Epstein had already entered a guilty plea to charges of luring and obtaining a minor for prostitution.
