New Payment this December
Millions of Americans will receive a new round of stimulus checks at the end of this month, December 2023. There will be an increase in the amount of Supplemental Security Income due to the increasing Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) this 2023.
In a published article in MARCA, the increasing inflation rate has led the Social Security Administration to increase the COLA for 2024 by 3.2 percent. This means that the amount of Supplemental Security Income of the recipients will be increased and this will be sent early this December instead of January 2024.

How to Check the Status of the New Payment?
The Social Security Administration advised that recipients should check My Social Security account message center for a notice about the new amount of the new payment. Meanwhile, those who just received their Supplemental Security Income will receive their payment in early January 2024.
Furthermore, there are only two reasons why the payment would not fall on the first week of every month. It could be either the regular payment date falls on a holiday or a weekend.
