New York Families Have Yet to Redeem P-EBT Funds
According to The U.S Sun, many New York families have not yet redeemed a total amount of $35 million of P-EBT, letting it sit and remain unused as they are to expire in December.
There are many reasons why the New York families were not able to claim and the money has gone unspent. Some New York families did not receive the state-issued P-EBT cards and others have difficulties because they are still learning English.

New York Families’ Eligibility for Unclaimed P-EBT Funds
According to Presbee, the eligibility to claim unused P-EBT funds that are about to expire in December is that you should be a citizen of New York. New York families can claim at least $391 per child and another $120 per child for the summer of 2023.
This year, the P-EBT funds have increased from $450 and $1500 to between $700 and $1750. Moreover, you could also be eligible for money because of a class action settlement.
