Property Taxes Will Become Delinquent if Not Paid on or Before December 11

Property taxes must be paid by 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, to avoid penalties. A Yolo County press statement states a 10% penalty after the deadline. Payment envelopes must be postmarked by Dec. 11, 2023. To secure the correct postmark, mail money a few days before the deadline. Postmarks from the USPS are the only authorized ones for deadline payments. Owners can pay property taxes by credit or debit card (2.34% convenience fee) or electronic check (free). Pay online at www.YoloCounty.org/PayTax or by phone at (877) 590-0714. Avoid fines by paying through either system by 5:00 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2023.

Currently, property owners are responsible for paying their tax bills or facing penalties for not receiving them. If you live in Yolo County and have not received a tax bill, call (530) 666-8190 or email [email protected]. In 2023, the Yolo County Tax Collector’s office will be open until 5 p.m. YoloCounty.org/TaxAssisstance offers property tax assistance options.
