Alabama Governor Kay Ivey said that an amount of up to $300 in one-time tax rebates will be sent to eligible taxpayers in Alabama if they meet the requirements.
$300 in One-Time Tax Rebates
American taxpayers across the country are hoping for extra money through one-time tax rebates. Alabama taxpayers are one of the lucky residents in the country because those who will qualify will receive an amount of up to $300 if they meet the requirements.
In a published article in the Washington Examiner, taxpayers in the state will qualify for the rebate if they file 2021 income taxes by Oct. 17, 2022. Eligible taxpayers will receive an amount of $150, while couples jointly filing will receive $300.

The State Governor Released a Statement
According to an article published in Ground News, Gov. Kay Ivey said, “From the very beginning, it has been my belief that it is the responsibility of government to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars while actively looking for ways to support citizens through tough times.”
She also added, “Our country is in the midst of tough times, and Alabama families from all walks of life are unfortunately seeing that their paychecks aren’t going as far as they once did. Thanks to our unwavering commitment to fiscal responsibility, one-time tax rebates will be with our hard-working Alabamians in time for the holidays.”
