$10,000 and $500,000 Relief in Florida
Lawmakers in Florida will start their special session beginning Monday to discuss list of bills that include Idalia relief, voucher expansion, and support for Israel. House Speaker Paul Renner and Senate President Kathleen Passidomo said that they consulted Gov. Ron DeSantis about this matter.
In a published article in Florida Phoenix, an amount of $10,000 could be sent to eligible homeowners to make their houses resistant to strong winds, flooding, and debris. This aims to help homeowners in the state lower the cost of insurance.
Meanwhile, an amount of $500,000 could be sent to eligible farmers as part of the $75 million loan program. This is to help farmers recover after a natural disaster.

Senate President Released a Statement
According to a published article in WESH2, Senate President Kathleen Passidomo said through a press release, “I look forward to further conversations about this important program during the regular session as we continue to evaluate ways to strengthen our infrastructure against storm damage while stabilizing and lowering insurance costs.”
