Galileo Spacecraft Flies By Jupiter’s Moon, Amalthea
According to SPACE, NASA’s old Galileo spacecraft was almost out of fuel. However, the Galileo spacecraft was able to fly by a small moon called Amalthea. Amalthea was the Jupiter’s small, but it is interesting for scientists.
Amalthea moon is the reddest object in our solar system that was the Galileo spacecraft able to capture before it ran out of fuel. Scientists think that the small moon creates electrical currents as it orbits Jupiter’s huge magnetic field. Near the small moon, strong radiation from Jupiter is dangerous for spacecraft.

Galileo Spacecraft Was Fixed Last Year
According to Yahoo News, the Galileo spacecraft had many problems. Fortunately, the Galileo spacecraft went into safe mode only 30 minutes after going past the little moon.
NASA was able to fix the problem with Galileo spacecraft and was able to work again. A year later after the Galileo spacecraft was fixed, it was able to fly again. However, it was crushed due to the high pressure of Jupiter’s atmosphere. Fortunately, the data it captures regarding the Amalthea was able to survive and is now being studied by scientists.
