A California man injured a deputy while being arrested on suspicion of elder abuse, making criminal threats, and battery.
California Man Arrested in Half Moon Bay for Threatening Parents
According to the East Bay Times, a California man was arrested Saturday around 7 p.m. for abusing and threatening his parents. The officials stated that among other charges, the California man is also facing against emergency personnel.
The deputies stated that they had received a report about the California man threatening his elderly parents. When the deputies arrived, the California man was allegedly yelling in Spanish and breaking glass windows and his parents told the officers that he was threatening to kill his father by ripping his heart out.
The elderly also believed that the California man was under the influence of drugs.

California Man Injured Deputy While Being Arrested
According to CBS News, deputies had set up a perimeter and used a Spanish-speaking deputy to order the California man to surrender. However, the 49-year-old man did not comply.
Thus, the officers entered the residence and found the California man inside his bedroom, armed with a makeshift weapon. Fortunately, one of the deputies only sustained a minor injury and was able to take the California man into custody.
The California man was transported to a hospital for psychological evaluation and will be booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility once cleared.
