Eligible residents in Illinois can receive a rebate of up to $4,000 from the $12 million pot. This is part of the program under the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and around 3,000 payments will be released. Residents are advised to apply as soon as possible.
In a published article in The U.S. Sun, the application started on November 1 and will end on January 31. Residents in the state who bought an all-electric vehicle can get a rebate of $4,000, and those who buy an all-electric motorcycle can get $1,500.

How To Qualify?
The state has set criteria for eligibility to qualify for the $4,000 rebate program. Here are some of them:
- The purchaser of the vehicle must reside in Illinois at the time of the purchase and at the time the rebate is issued.
- The vehicle must be purchased from a dealer in the state that is licensed by the state as well.
- The purchaser must retain ownership of the vehicle for a minimum of 12 months immediately after the purchase date, and apply within 90 days of the purchase date.
- Only individuals can receive a rebate and they can only get one.
